Mediation

Mediation gives you and your partner an opportunity to sit down and discuss your dispute issues with a trained mediator following the breakdown of a marriage.

The purpose is to arrive at an agreement about issues such as parenting, property and finances. The mediator is a third party who will try to assist you to resolve your dispute without having to get the courts involved, so you are in control of the process. The meeting is completely confidential and does not involve the giving of legal advice.

We can arrange mediation with a qualified mediator for you. We can also give you advice before attending the mediation, to help you set an agenda, ensure that you understand the relevant issues and give you some different options to consider.
