Marriage
Marriage generally requires you to be 18.
If you are 16 or 17 you can get married, but you need the consent of both of your parents or guardians, and one of the parties needs to be 18 or older. The Court will make the decision about whether you can marry in this situation, giving consideration to your maturity, financial situation, and how long you have been in a relationship. You can’t marry if you are under the age of 16.
